Veteran detective Joe Antonelli is frustrated by attempts to bring a confessed killer to justice where any form of legal punishment would surely affect his conjoined twin. He is faced with unprecedented legal dilemmas and medical complexity brought about because of the brothers’ complicated circumstance.

A one-of-a-kind murder case confounds the legal system in David Random’s new novel “Connected.” In this riveting story, a Harvard professor is murdered. The killer immediately confesses, and his brother, an eyewitness to the killing, corroborates his story. The twist is that the brothers are more than just siblings—they are conjoined twins. For the police, keeping the murderer in custody means locking up his innocent brother along with him—an untenable situation.

The book has a four-star rating from Clarion Review along with a glowing recommendation, calling the book “…a wholly absorbing and spellbinding mystery from the start.”
