AT&T & CEO Randall Stephenson Honored for Leadership in Diversity & Inclusion

AT&T received high praise for its commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion at the annual DiversityInc awards event in New York City last night. We ranked No. 3 on DiversityInc’s 2018 Top 50 Companies for Diversity list – the same as last year. This marks the fifth year in a row we’ve been among the top 10.

DiversityInc also recognized AT&T’s leadership in several specific areas, including:

• 11 Top Companies for Recruitment -- #2
• 15 Top Companies for Supplier Diversity -- #6
• 28 Top Companies for LGBT -- On list (not ranked)
• 13 Top Companies for ERGs -- #2
• 14 Top Companies for Mentoring -- #5
• 20 Top Companies for Diversity Councils -- #9
• 18 Top Companies for Veterans -- #5

In addition, DiversityInc named AT&T Chairman & CEO Randall Stephenson the first-ever recipient of its Workplace Civil Rights Leadership Award for his public commitment to equality – citing Randall’s challenge to employees to move beyond tolerance; to seek real understanding. It’s a challenge our employees have embraced.

Randall was also among a group of corporate leaders who signed the CEO in Action pledge in June 2017 – committing to cultivate environments that support open dialogue on diversity and inclusion, expand unconscious bias education and share best practices
