Philips - the most reputable company in the Netherlands

Philips has once again been named as the most reputable company in the Netherlands. For the eleventh year in a row, it has received the prestigious Reputation Award following the annual RepTrak® rankings carried out by the Reputation Institute Benelux.

Hans de Jong, President Philips Netherlands, is delighted by the Award: “It is great to see that we are increasingly appreciated for our strategic choice to fully focus on health technology. It is also worth noting that the public’s appreciation of this choice has further increased compared to last year.”

“The results of Philips are truly remarkable,” said Professor Cees van Riel, founder of the Reputation Institute. “The general public is becoming more skeptical and has less trust in brands. For the first time in five years, this has translated into a significant drop in overall reputation scores. Nevertheless, Philips is the only brand that scores in the 80+ range, in other words ’Excellent’. With this, the health technology company has maintained the Number 1 spot for the eleventh year in a row. Philips is the company with the best reputation in the Netherlands, and is also the most innovative and sustainable company in the Netherlands.”

The Award was presented to Philips during the Reputation Institute’s annual dinner in the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag. One of the important factors contributing to Philips’ Number 1 ranking is the leadership of CEO Frans van Houten, who is also spearheading the circular economy in industry. The strong financial performance of the company was also an important factor, as was a clear business strategy that fully aligns with Philips’ mission to improve people’s lives through innovative technology.
