When Robert takes a great leap and accepts the job as public safety director of the federal government in Washington, DC, he has no idea how his life will pan out. Trained as a firefighter, his job in the Paterson Fire Department is a far cry from the responsibility he is saddled with. On his second day on the job, he is greeted with the news of the murder of the president and his family—a terrorist attack that brings repercussions to the entire government. Now Robert has to deal with everyone, from the White House police, the FBI and the Secret Service, to the fire department and a civilian review board.

“Presidential Disease” was displayed in LitFire Publishing’s booth at the ALA Midwinter Meeting and Exhibits 2018 in Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado, from February 9 to 13.
