The biography celebrates Berry’s late wife, Connie, whom he has been married to for forty-one years. In the book, he recalls how they fell in love, which would not have happened had he not left India for the United States. He goes on to describe her admirable characteristics and her professional life, and revealing how his family welcomed Connie with open arms.

Although he is still reeling from his loss, Berry is still thankful for his wife’s love. Despite the void in his heart, he is appreciative of the fact that they were able to make each other happy throughout their long marriage.

“My Connie” was displayed in LitFire Publishing’s booth during the ALA Midwinter Meeting and Exhibits 2018. The event ran from February 9 to 13 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.
