Author Nelda Moffatt covers eons of time when she interprets Creation in terms of twentieth-century scientific discoveries in her book, The Right Hand of God.

She then moves to the cultural and spiritual development of mankind led by God’s Providence in history, His Right Hand. She covers centuries of history in mere pages, for we have much history to reabsorb, as we rediscover the Christian roots of Western civilization. Its main purpose, according to her, is to provide a deeper understanding of the Trinity.

Early Gothic thinkers laid thought upon thought—as cathedral masons laid stone upon stone—until a staircase of steps carried Martin Luther over the threshold of Reform with the “priesthood of the believer” in 1517.

Reformation set in motion three thrusts of development started by three men: Galileo, science-technology. Columbus, social-political. He discovered America, where the US Declaration of Independence took place. Luther, spiritual-ideational individuals with each person thinking for himself, when the “priesthood of the believer” is actually fulfilled in 2017.

After five hundred years, the Reformation will be complete, if we enter The Age of Integrity and we put our world back together with wisdom, honesty, integrity—the integrity of each idea, each individual an integral part of the whole of all society and all creation. Then we’ll see that all is related to God.

About the Author

Nelda Moffatt was born in Austin, Texas, in 1925, while her father was working on his PhD in education. Her mother was born in Berlin, Germany. Her grandparents provided a European viewpoint even in the hinterlands of Texas and also a love of history in the stories they related. After she graduated from The University of Texas, she went to Houston, where she has lived ever since. Her husband, Robert Moffatt, Jr., provided the luxury of time for “creative thought” (over thirty years) as books fell into her hands just when she needed them for her research.
