HID Global Wins Industry Award for Innovative IoT Solution for Fire and Safety Compliance

The panel of judges included security industry leaders who selected HID’s IoT solution based on its innovation, functionality, competitive advantages and benefits to the integrator.

HID Trusted Tag^® Services take a giant leap forward in the effectiveness of fire and safety maintenance, inspections and audits by moving paper-based processes to more secure, accurate and efficient online systems that can be used with smartphones.

The solution combines HID’s NFC trusted tags with the company’s cloud-based authentication platform to add unique and trusted identities to everyday objects in the IoT. It enables integrators to extend their computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) offerings to bridge the gap between physical maintenance and inspections and online management systems.

With HID Trusted Tag Services, technicians can simply tap their phone to a trusted NFC tag placed on fire and safety equipment to prove their presence during a maintenance or inspection call and digitally record inspections.   

Integrators are already incorporating HID Trusted Tag Services into their CMMS solutions to help their customers increase reporting accuracy and facilitate fire and safety compliance.
