About the Author
Krahtay Gaylah was originally from a tiny country of West Africa – Liberia. His life has been on what he termed “an exile-wheel.” At age five, he was escaped to Ivory Coast (also known as Côte d’Ivoire), West Africa with his beloved mother due to a civil conflict in his country. As if that was not enough, the situation got plagued with crisis when he and his siblings were moved to live at an orphanage in the Danane region, located on the far west of Ivory Coast that also got hit by a civil conflict. Moving back to Northern Liberia, just south of Guinea border with the orphanage, they were again forced to exile in Guinea by another civil conflict. A year later, he repatriated with the orphanage to Liberia. Studying civil engineering for a year after graduation from high school in Liberia, he migrated to the United States in 2011. He immediately enrolled in college with an interest in Aviation. After graduating from Tarrant County College (TCC) with an associate’s degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology in 2015, he thereafter attained an FAA approved Airframe and Powerplant (A&P)/mechanic license in 2016.
