Offering helps education professionals comply with new federal ADA regulations

New York, NY – WEBWIRE

Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S.today announced that Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) -compliant electronic versions of its parent involvement publications are now available as part of its Resources for Educators offerings.

Resources for Educators publications are offered to Pre-K–12 education professionals – including school administrators, teachers, reading specialists, parent involvement coordinators, and federal program administrators – to provide help and support to the families they serve.

As of January 18, new federal ADA standards ADA require all schools receiving federal funds to make their website materials ADA-compliant and ensure that all individuals can access them. In response, Wolters Kluwer has made ADA-compliant materials available as part of its existing subscription package of Resources for Educators content, supporting compliance efforts for schools across the country.

“With the new ADA regulation in effect, it is crucial for all content on schools’ websites to be compliant with the law,” said Marcy Levin-Epstein, Publisher of Resources for Educators at Wolters Kluwer. “Website accessibility is essential to schools’ external communication with its parents and students. By making these materials accessible, we are helping our customers to comply with federal regulations, and also to put valuable information into as many parents’ hands as possible.”

Since 1990, Wolters Kluwer’s Resources for Educators has been working to build close partnerships between families and schools.
