Roslyn C. Thorpe Creates an Enthralling Adventure Story Intended to Entertain, Educate and Charm Children of All Ages

Cambria Heights, Queens author Roslyn C. Thorpe marks her entry into literature with the publication of her first book, an illustrated children’s book titled “RayRay’s Amazing Dream: An Adventurous Week.”
 
“RayRay’s Amazing Dream” is an adorable story of a lion cub named RayRay. His story starts when he meets an accident one day, thus requiring bed rest. As he recuperates, he drifts into dreamland, where he spends a week in the forest together with Mandy, his bear friend. They are later joined by eight other friends. The happy youngsters spend the whole week playing and doing activities they enjoy together.
 
The highlight of their week-long adventure is the night before they part ways. They have fun and share stories and ideas around a campfire. They have the best time of their lives. As they say their goodbyes, RayRay feels someone is shaking him. RayRay wakes up and realizes that everything is just a dream.
 
Roslyn Thorpe perfectly knows what a young reader expects from her book. Everything is well-written to the delight of readers and her storybook is full of colors and exciting adventures that will captivate readers. Through her book, the author provides a wonderful approach to education e.g., counting and learning the order of the days of the week.

About the Author:
Roslyn Thorpe was born in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, in the West Indies and is fourth in a family of twelve. Her first job was that of an elementary school teacher. She also worked as a librarian, legal secretary and interim pastor. She migrated to the US in 1987 and worked as an early childhood teacher for nine years. Roslyn obtained her bachelor’s degree at The College of New Rochelle and her Master’s degree in special Education at the Brooklyn College City University of New York. She also completed studies in Administration and Supervision in education at the Brooklyn College. Roslyn is currently employed by the New York City Board of Education as a teacher.
