PPG Foundation invests $10,000 in Sierra Nevada Journeys science education programs

PPG (NYSE:PPG) today announced that the PPG Foundation invested $10,000 in Sierra Nevada Journeys, which delivers innovative outdoor, science-based education programs for youth. These programs inspire natural resource stewardship and promote the development of critical thinking skills. The donation was made on behalf of PPG’s architectural coatings manufacturing plant and distribution center in Reno.
 
The grant will allow Classrooms Unleashed (CU), a science education program for elementary students, to expand its reach to support 405 students in Northern Nevada.
 
“It is a priority for PPG to expose young students to engaging science programs,” said Terry McGinnis, PPG plant manager, Reno. “By providing youth with the tools they need to succeed in the sciences, we can help fuel their passions and foster innovation in the field.”
