“A compelling story of spirituality, emotional desolation and forgiveness.” - Kirkus Reviews

Sometimes, life’s challenges leave people hollow. As a result, some resort to engaging in spiritual practices in order to heal themselves. Robert L. Spevakow’s book “Off Track” show’s one man’s spiritual journey.

The book centers on protagonist Aaron Canducci and his healing process. After the loss of his best friend and his discovery of his wife’s infidelity, Aaron finds himself lonely and depressed. In order to remedy his pain, he proceeds to read spiritual books, volunteer for the Salvation Army, and approach a friend and psychic counselor for advice. The support Aaron receives from his friends at the Bookie Joint helps him as he copes. He later meets interior designer Sofia Cristall, who is attracted to him just as much as he is to her. Just as his life was on the upswing, Aaron discovers disheartening revelations about some of his friends and gets himself entangled in a web of a mafia’s deceit.

Through his novel, which is described by Kirkus Reviews as “a compelling story of spirituality, emotional desolation and forgiveness,” Spevakow wants readers to appreciate the positive things in their lives despite facing trials. “Life can be happy and amazing if you fight through your problems,” he says.
