Unique perspective and its critical examination of the press coverage of the war and how that coverage reflected into the anti-war sentiment in the US.

Launched during the early hours of January 31, 1968, the Tet Offensive was a series of simultaneous attacks commenced by North Vietnamese troops on five major cities and smaller cities in almost every province in South Vietnam. David Earl Henard explains the events surrounding the attacks in full detail in his autobiography, “Victory Stolen.”

Henard’s book recalls the history of the Tet Offensive. It also reveals information previously undisclosed by reporters, whom he believes were biased and inexperienced. Such information includes the major battles in downtown Saigon and Tan Son Nhut airport. With testimonials from various authors and resources, the memoir seeks to tell the truth about the Vietnam War without omitting relevant information.

According to Henard, his book allows readers to look at the Vietnam War from a new perspective. An Amazon customer took note of its difference from other war memoirs. In a five-star review on the website, the customer commended its “unique perspective and its critical examination of the press coverage of the war and how that coverage reflected into the anti-war sentiment in the US.”

“Victory Stolen” sheds a new light on a major event in the Vietnam War. Copies are available for purchase in selected online bookstores.
