Science Channel Starts off 2018 with Highest Rated Month in Its History in Key Demos

New York – WEBWIRE

Science Channel started 2018 off with a bang as it enjoyed the highest rated month in its history.  The network put up record numbers in January among Adults/Men/Women 25-54 and Total Viewers P2+ in both Primetime and Total Day. The ratings surge was driven by strong performances by the return of its popular space series HOW THE UNIVERSE WORKS, freshman engineering series MEGA MACHINES and BUILDING GIANTS, as well as TESLA’S DEATH RAY.

Overall, for the month of January vs. January 2017, Science Channel was up in Primetime 14%/+17%/+9% among Adults/Men/Women 25-54 and +25% among Total Viewers P2+. Thursdays were up 32% over 2017 on the strength of MEGA MACHINES and BUILDING GIANTS, while Sundays were up 41% vs. 2017 because of TESLA’S DEATH RAY.

In Total Day, January saw an increase over January 2017 of +12%/+12%/+13% among A/M/W25-54 and +16% among P2+.
