Major partner for the Transju’ 2018

On 10 and 11 February, we’re joining forces with Transju’, celebrating our passion for cross-country skiing on our own playing field: the Jurassien mountains. This international event is in its 40th edition.

With TransJu’ turning 40 and Julbo 130 this year, it’s the ideal time to become a major partner in this event. Transju’ and we have two things in common: our geographical roots and a desire to shine on the international stage through this sport.

Transju’ is the French leg of Worldloppet, an international federation that promotes the 20 most prestigious long-distance Nordic ski races on four continents. In this latest edition, over 7,100 skiers with 25 different nationalities will be partaking in six race categories. The “Transjurassienne”, Transju’s showpiece event, connects Lamoura with Mouthe over 68km across the Jura mountains’ most stunning landscapes. Six Julbo employees will be taking part. Also at the start line will be podium hopefuls kitted out in gear by Julbo, just like winner Robin Duvillard was in the last edition.

This year, we are involved more than ever in Nordic sports where there are huge issues with vision. What with the variation in terrain (both open and shaded), snow, the cold weather and the sun, protecting the eyes and being able to see well in all conditions is important. We create a wide range of sunglasses that have been developed to respond to the limitations of endurance sports with lightweight frames, good ventilation and photochromic lenses which darken or lighten depending on exposure to light. Our sunglasses also give users good vision even in cases of myopia, presbyopia, hyperopia or astigmatism. 

We will be presenting its products in the “Partner Village” in Les Rousses from 9 to 11 February.
