Vodafone Group signs a Global Framework Agreement with Alcatel as a Global Supplier

Paris, October 11, 2006 - Alcatel (Paris: CGEP. PA and NYSE: ALA) today announced it has signed a Global Framework Agreement with the Vodafone Group to supply an end-to-end portfolio of product and service solutions to the Vodafone operating companies worldwide.

Thanks to the breadth and scope of Alcatel’s product portfolio and its end-to-end solutions, this new partnership will help Vodafone to achieve its strategic goals by providing Vodafone operating companies with the option to leverage Alcatel’s products where there is a strategic fit.
