Agreement Supports Growing Video Sharing Phenomenon and Emerging Content Applications

BROOMFIELD, Colo., October 11, 2006 - Level 3 Communications’ Content Markets Division today announced it has been selected by CacheLogic, a provider of media delivery solutions to the content community, to provide network services that will enable the growth of CacheLogic’s global media delivery platform.

Under the terms of the multi-year agreement Level 3 will be CacheLogic’s preferred provider of high-speed Internet access and colocation services to support the company’s recently announced VelociX™ accelerated media delivery platform, targeting TV producers and studios who want to rapidly distribute their media to end-users. The service will be offered in the United States, Europe and Asian markets.

“Until now there have been limitations to effectively distributing movies, television programs and other rich media content over the Internet. Despite that, video sharing has been growing exponentially,” said Andrew Parker, chief technical officer and co-founder of CacheLogic. “Using Level 3’s advanced, scalable network and unparalleled high-bandwidth, high-speed services to power VelociX, we believe we can significantly improve the end-user experience.”

CacheLogic enables content providers to cost-effectively offer a wide range of movies, television programs and other rich media content to customers over the Internet. The company offers solutions to facilitate large media assets, such as television programs or movies, to be downloaded in minutes rather than hours. The broadband services provided by Level 3 will help CacheLogic extend its platform to a larger market.

“We’re pleased to be supporting CacheLogic in reaching the content community,” said Brady Rafuse, president of Level 3 Content Markets. “We believe Level 3 has the network, service portfolio and expertise to be a valuable resource to CacheLogic.”

Eight of the top-10 Internet destinations trust Level 3 to deliver network solutions.
