Uncovering the Truth behind Slavery

For many years, slavery has created a huge rift between Americans, with countless lives being taken away in the process. Evangelist Larry C. Hence Sr. discloses its origins in his book, “In The Eye of the Storm.”

The book tackles the history of slavery, which, Hence notes, has been distorted by historians. He also points out that the approaches to discussing slavery has not dissolved tensions, rather furthering them instead. “Had they been more forthcoming in their assessment and placed blame where it is supposed to be, maybe then the healing could have taken place,” he says. He also shares how religion was used to justify slavery.

Hence’s book aims to educate readers on the truth about slavery. Being an evangelist, he hopes that his insights will enable people to identify the truth from the misinformation.

“In the Eye of the Storm” was displayed in LitFire Publishing’s booth at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2017 held at the Messe Frankfurt in Germany from October 11 to 15.
