Avaya announces four new promotions in UK and Ireland

Avaya today announced four senior promotions in the UK and Ireland. The promotions reflect the strong ongoing performance of the company’s UK&I business during the past year as well as the dedication of Avaya associates to driving excellence in execution, customer centricity and earning the trust of customers and partners. In their new roles, they will collectively drive increased customer and partner engagement, and lead teams reinvigorated following the company’s emergence from Chapter 11.

These promotions are:

  • Jo Devonald, Regional Sales Lead for Avaya UK North
  • Gregg Widdowson, Customer Engagement Sales Lead, UK and Ireland
  • Lee Williams, BT and Vodafone Regional Channel Lead
  • Natalie Keightley, Solutions Marketing Director, International


As Regional Sales Lead for Avaya UK North, Jo Devonald is driving the adoption of Avaya technologies, and generating new opportunities for new and existing customers in the region. Since joining Avaya in 2015 as Territory Account Manager, Devonald has been integral to some of its largest mid-market and commercial sales. In the last 12 months, Devonald has implemented new ways to drive growth for the business among its customers and increased its excellence of execution. Avaya UK North is home to some of the country’s largest operators and telecommunication service providers.

Gregg Widdowson takes on the role of Customer Engagement Solution Sales Lead, UK and Ireland, where he is responsible for driving Customer Engagement revenue through strategies on key accounts and partner initiatives with the Avaya UK&I Sales teams.  Since joining the Avaya team in 1997, Widdowson and has held a number of positions within Avaya including UK Enterprise Sales Engineering Manager, UK Contact Centre Consulting Systems Engineer and EMEA Contact Centre Practice Leader for Avaya Professional Services, bringing unparalleled experience to his new role.

Lee Williams is taking on the position as BT and Vodafone Regional Channel Lead, where he will focus on continuing to build and strengthen Avaya’s relationship with the country’s two largest partners.  Williams started with Avaya three years ago, and has driven the delivery of BT Wholesale’s Cloud Based Contact Centre Solutions to the market resulting in last year’s largest sale in EMEA.

Natalie Keightley assumes the role of Solutions Marketing Director, International, where she will be responsible for developing and rolling out personalised solution value propositions, messaging, programs, and content. She will also help build new and expand existing relationships with Avaya customers. Keightley is integrating Account-Based Marketing (ABM) into Avaya’s customer planning, thought leadership and demand generation activities, as well as developing programs and solution propositions for alliance partners and developer communities to address regional customer needs.
