The Pemex Board of Directors Appoints Marco Murillo Soberanis as Corporate Director of Management and Services

Today, the Board of Directors of Petróleos Mexicanos appointed Engineer Marco Antonio Murillo Soberanis as the new Corporate Director of Management and Services, which is the position that was until recently held by the current Pemex CEO, Carlos Treviño Medina.

Murillo Soberanis’ career at Pemex spans  33 years. Throughout this time, he has held several senior management positions in the company. From 2002 to 2004 he was in charge of the    Corporate Human Resources Management division, and he later held the position of Deputy Director of Human Resources for 11 years. In 2015 he was appointed as Deputy Director of Labor Relations and Personnel Services.

He has been in charge of the Office of  Corporate Management on three occasions (2009, 2012 and 2017).

Likewise, in 2012 he was awarded the title of Human Resources executive of the year in Mexico in the category companies with over 100 thousand employees, which is an award from the Mexican Association of Human Resources Management  (acronym in Spanish: AMEDIRH).
