Less than a decade ago, she updated Walter’s autobiography, “The Skin Around Me: Adventures in Dermatology.” Being a wife to a dermatology icon, she wrote a chapter about Walter for inclusion in “Pantheon of Dermatology,” a German book about dermatology legends. They also wrote a column “A Dermatologic Diary: Portrait of a Practice” in the peer-reviewed journal Curtis for five years (1990-1995).
“Santa’s Sleigh-Train” is Shelley’s fourth children’s book, following “Helium Table” (2010), “The Helium Egg” (2010), and “Helium Heels” (2012). She co-authored “Toronto and Ned” (2014) with Eleanor A. Hutton, who illustrated all of Shelley’s children’s books.
