THAI Launches Boeing 787-9 on Bangkok- Taipei Route

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) recently celebrated the launch of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for its flight operations on the Bangkok-Taipei route.

Mr. Wiwat Piyawiroj (fifth from left), Acting Executive Vice President, Commercial, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), presided over a reception to celebrate the launch of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on Bangkok-Taipei route. Also present were Ms. Suree Trairatananukool (fourth from left), Deputy Executive Director, Thailand Trade and Economic Office, Mr. Albert Pei (third from left), Managing Director, Lion Travel Service Co., LTD., honorary guests from aviation industry and Taiwan Tourism Industry; Mr. Viroj Sirihorachai (second from left), THAI Vice President, Revenue Management and Commercial Services, along with Mr. Wit Kitchathorn (sixth from left), THAI General Manager-Taipei. The event was held at Hotel Mandarin Oriental, Taipei.

Starting from 1 December 2017, THAI will be utilizing its newest aircraft Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for flight operations between Bangkok and Taipei with flight TG632 Bangkok-Taipei and TG633 Taipei-Bangkok. Currently, THAI offers 20 weekly flights between Bangkok and Taipei. The service helps THAI to further strengthen its competitive positioning in Taiwan as it is one of THAI’s strategic routes.  Record shows that over 560,000 tourists traveled from Taiwan to Thailand each year.
