Marshall Chiropractic will Partner with Local Organizations to Feed and Clothe the Homeless this Holiday Season

Tulsa, OK, USA – WEBWIRE

Dr Ryan Marshall said: “Together we can make this holiday season a little brighter, and hopefully a little warmer, for others around our city.”

Many times we take for granted the things that we have in our lives.  A hot meal.  A place to shower.  A warm bed to sleep in or even a jacket to protect us from the elements.  Often we get busy with our own lives and miss an opportunity to spend time helping someone else.  Thankfully, the number of homeless and needy families in our community has been decreasing lately.  However, no one should be without.  We all have something to give, even if it is simply a moment of our time.

This holiday season, Marshall Chiropractic, a Tulsa Chiropractor and Wellness Clinic, is partnering with other local organizations to make this winter a little warmer for a few of the homeless in our city.  Over the next few weeks Dr. Marshall and his staff are asking their patrons to bring in gently used items to help make this winter less brutal for a few less fortunate.  So, from now until December 1st, Marshall Chiropractic is asking for simple donations.  Winter hats, scarves, gloves or coats that are still in good condition.

If you don’t have any clothing items to give they will be accepting donations of food items and hygiene products as well.  Ready to eat snacks, personal Kleenex packets, chapstick, a toothbrush and toothpaste are all great items to give to those in need.  These items will be assembled together in a hygiene bag to be handed out across the city.

It’s the heart of our clinic to see everyone prosper and we aren’t alone.  This year Marshall Chiropractic is joining forces with an organization called Taking It To The StreetsTaking It To The Streets is non-profit organization started in 2015.  It was started by Veterans in order to give back to their community.  Many of the volunteers are even veterans themselves and some of them have dealt with homelessness in their personal lives.  Their hearts of compassion for others in their city shows in everything they do.

They journey out twice a month to serve the homeless community with a hot meal and clothing that has been donated at various times.  The group of volunteers will spend time with each individual that comes through the line.  They get to know each person so that they experience the sense of value in their lives.  We all long to be seen; to know our worth.  When we are looked in the eye and our emotions are validated we are able to cope with a situation and begin to build hope for the future once again.

Some people cannot get to the location for the hot meal.  So, food, water and hygiene items are personally delivered to others around the city.  In the last year, over 1300 hygiene bags have been donated and passed out.  There have also been over 800 pizzas given away.

Together we can make this holiday season a little brighter, and hopefully a little warmer, for others around our city.
