About the author
The author, Skip Ball, was born into a family of pastors seeking a future in a typical American community. But every dream changed when in 1973, he accepted a call to pioneer as a church planter in England’s dwindling Christian population. He’d anticipated lukewarm skepticism but never expected outright hostility and threats on his life. His call took him across England, Wales, Northern Ireland and throughout Europe. He confronted armed terrorists, was caught in bomb blasts, visited East German convicts and brought hope to troubled teens. But when he and his family settled into an idyllic village in Cheshire to begin a new church, his world nearly crashed and burned. He wasn’t trained in counterterrorism measures to defend his own family nor how to fight unseen enemies that used blood rituals as weapons. After nearly 18 years of battle he and his wife and three sons returned to the States. Today Skip serves as a Chaplain for the Los Angeles / Malibu Sheriff’s Department, still offering hope to broken lives.
