Senior Olympian Ingrid Kern to Participate in the 2018 BEA New Title Showcase

The author, now a real estate agent in Los Angeles, will interact with attendees and sign autographs at the book expo.

The BookExpo 2018 gets more exciting with the participation of a truly inspiring figure in the person of Ingrid Kern.

Ingrid Kern, author of “Triumph: Taming the Monster Within” (Dog Ear Publishing, 2017), joins many other emerging authors whose works will be displayed at the upcoming 2018 BookExpo America (BEA) New Title Showcase, a book exhibition that will run from May 30 through June 2, 2018, at the Javits Center, New York City.
 
The author is expected to attend her autographing session, which is scheduled on June 2 at 2-3 PM. The BookExpo will provide Kern with lots of opportunities to promote her autobiography, interact with event attendees and fellow authors, share her story of overcoming incredible personal obstacles, and even pitch her real estate services.

About the author
Ingrid Kern grew up in Vienna, Austria, being physically, mentally and emotionally abused by her alcoholic father. After his death, she dropped out of school at age eighteen. She worked as a model in Europe and played on stage in Vienna for a season. Ingrid moved to New York and got married. After her divorce, she moved to Los Angeles, where her actual healing journey began. She has published books of poetry and self-healing: “Volume One,” “Words From An Unchained Heart,” “What’s Your Monster’s Name?” and “100 Whispered Words.” She received several awards for some of her poems, including the Poet of Merit Award from the International Society of Poets for her poem “9/11.” Several of her poems have been featured in the Brentwood News. Ingrid lives in Los Angeles and shares her time working in real estate, managing a building, writing, and traveling. She loves animals.
