Candace Orcutt Writes a Helpful Discussion about Personality Disorder

Teaneck, New Jersey – WEBWIRE

“A must reading for all who are dealing with the challenges of trauma and the personality disorders.” --James F. Masterson, MD, distinguished psychiatrist and leading mental health writer

“Trauma in Personality Disorder” by Dr. Candace Orcutt discusses and provides the helpful ways on how to combat the trauma which can sometimes combine with personality disorder.

According to Dr. Orcutt, it is a therapeutic test for patient and treating clinician alike when trauma and personality disorder fuse together. Both of them face the task of difficult, painful work in order to meet their main objective – to recover. “Trauma in Personality Disorder” for clinician is a book that gives a clear theoretical base for psychotherapy followed by a description of some specific techniques. Based on the developmental, object relations approach by James F. Masterson, MD, the treatment in this theory is demonstrated in casebook form.

Childhood trauma, as well as post-traumatic stress disorder or PTSD, is thoroughly discussed in this book. Also, four major types of personality disorder are delineated by Dr. Orcutt in this book. It is shown throughout the book how trauma work and character work should be kept in proper balance so that the psychotherapy will lead to its desired goal.

The book “Trauma in Personality Disorder” will be proudly displayed at the 2018 London Book Fair which will take place this April 10, 2018.  Grab a copy now!
