NDS Provides End To End System For Romtelecom’s New DTH Satellite Platform

Highlights:
• NDS provides VideoGuard® secure conditional access, MediaHighway™ middleware and electronic program guide (EPG) for Romtelecom’s new direct-to-home (DTH) satellite service.
• New platform to be launched to homes across Romania, with NDS VideoGuard® protecting all content and services delivered to new digital subscribers.
• NDS strengthens its position in Eastern Europe with second conditional access and middleware contract in the fast growing Romanian market.

London, UK – October 4, 2006 – NDS, the leading provider of technology solutions for digital pay-TV, today announced that it has been selected by Romtelecom, the leading telecommunications company in Romania, to deploy a full end-to-end system including NDS VideoGuard® conditional access, MediaHighway™ middleware and EPG on the company’s new DTH satellite TV platform.
