Columbus, MS -- April 6, 2005 -- Ean Evans & Bobby Capps, while on a four-day mini promo tour which included a lecture on the campus of Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi, made the announcement today on Mississippi’s Rock Station WYMX 99.1. During the broadcast, Evans and Capps discussed the EVANSCAPPS project and their new CD titled “LAST TIME,” with Evans on lead guitar and Capps doing lead vocals.

The two have been working in the studio writing and recording when time allowed, since both musicians have full-time jobs with two of Southern Rock’s legendary bands: Evans is the bass player for Lynyrd Skynyrd, while Capps plays keyboards in 38 Special.

The two haven’t shared a lot about the project until now, since their primary focus is with Lynyrd Skynyrd & 38 Special, but both agree they have enjoyed working together, giving them a chance to mix it up some from their usual styles. It’s taken time to get the album finished, but both admit they have been looking forward to its release.

During the radio broadcast, they introduced several of the original songs from the “LAST TIME” CD, including “Mississippi.” Evans describes the CD as “In Your Face!.” Currently, the CD can be pre-ordered online at EVANSCAPPS.com before the scheduled April 25th release. Plans are also in the works for “LAST TIME” to be available in stores around the U.S. in the coming weeks.

When asked about live shows, they replied, “Not at the present time, for now we plan to wait, see how it all goes, but have not ruled out the possibilities to do a few shows together if scheduling permits.” Evans & Capps both have full touring schedules ahead of them this year with Lynyrd Skynyrd & 38 Special.

Ben Fowler, producer of the Lynyrd Skynyrd CD “Vicious Cycle,” also produced the EvansCapps release “LAST TIME,” which features some very talented musicians as special guests on several of the tracks.

“Mississippi” can currently be heard in the local Mississippi radio area, with plans to introduce it to the national market in the near future.
