Process reliability paired with economic efficiency: that is the focus of the tools that Bosch Production Tools is presenting at Motek 2006, the trade fair for assembly and handling technology. Bosch Production Tools is a product division of Bosch Power Tools, a business division of the Bosch Group.

Cordless and pneumatic screwdriving processes with documentation
The Cordless Screwdrivers BT-Exact communicate wirelessly via Bluetooth with the Access Point ExaConnect. This exchanges information with the process host computer via Ethernet. In this way, the data of the screwdriving process is documented and the quality is assured. With this, Bosch is again setting standards in the field of intelligent cordless tools with shut-off clutch. The continual further development and improvement of this hardware and software drives Bosch forward in close cooperation with the users and consolidates its position as technological leader in this segment.

When performing screwdriving processes with pneumatic screwdrivers, the new “Process and Maintenance Controller” PMC 10 takes care of the monitoring and documentation. Furthermore, the PMC 10 informs the user about impending maintenance of the tools – a prerequisite for long lifetime.

New pneumatic angle shut-off wrenches with tried and tested shut-off clutch
Bosch is expanding the already extensive range of pneumatic angle shut-off wrenches DWAS with the new 550-watt series. It offers maximum torques between 40 and 68 Nm in combination with speeds from 320 to 570 rpm. The top model DWAS 56 with 56 Nm and 420 rpm has an ideal combination of torque and speed. With the tried and tested shut-off clutch from the Exact series, these new Bosch wrenches also guarantee extremely high accuracy (cmk > 1.67 at +/- 10% tolerance) – even after a million screwdriving cycles.

The good ergonomic properties of all Bosch Production Tools are also standard for these products. The new infinitely variable angle head and the convenient forward/reverse setting additionally improve the handling. With their weight of 1.5 kilograms, the new DWAS wrenches are by far the most lightweight in their class.

Electric Screwdrivers C-Exact with Power Supply Unit PUC-Exact
The advantages of the new electric screwdriver series C-Exact and the matching power supply unit PUC-Exact are robustness and long life, extremely high accuracy, and low costs for spare parts and service. With a cmk value > 1.67 at a tolerance of +/- 10%, these electric screwdrivers surpass even the highest industry standards. The C-Exact has electrostatic discharge capability (ESD) as standard, allowing for unrestricted use of the tool in the electrical and electronics industry. A high level of convenience is offered by the infinitely variable torque in a large range between 0.5 and 3.5 Nm and the good ergonomics.

New Cordless Screwdrivers Exact 60 and Angle Drivers Angle Exact CF
The Exact 60 expands the Bosch range of industrial cordless screwdrivers. The very low speed of 60 rpm allows for reliable screwdriving results in extremely soft screwdriving applications. The new Angle Drivers Angle-Exact CF allow for optimum use of open crowfoot attachments. The special backward running adapted to suit the use of crowfoot screwdriving attachments considerably increases the lifetime of the crowfoot attachments.

Impact wrenches with torques between 150 and 1300 Nm
New heavy-duty impact wrenches supplement the extensive Bosch range of pneumatic tools, which already had a range of maximum torques between 150 and 1300 Nm. The torques of the new wrenches are between 350 and 900 Nm. The double hammer mechanism runs in an oil bath and is even more robust than its predecessor, thus allowing for extended lifetimes. The easy forward/reverse setting and three-stage torque setting on the back of the housing as well as the easy changing and replenishing of the oil in the impact mechanism ensure high operating and service convenience. With this new addition, Bosch offers the user a complete product range from which the user can select the optimum pneumatic tool for his screwdriving processes.
