NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--April 6, 2005--Wienerschnitzel, the world’s largest hot dog chain, has introduced the new Pastrami Dog. The restaurant’s latest hot dog creation features an all-beef hot dog served on a pretzel bun and topped with lean pastrami, Swiss cheese, mustard and a pickle spear.

“The hot dog and pastrami sandwich have been and continue to be favorite taste profiles for folks nationwide,” said Tom Amberger, director of marketing for Wienerschnitzel. “When combined and placed in a signature Wienerschnitzel pretzel bun, the taste sensation is truly remarkable and has proven extremely popular among Wienerschnitzel customers.”

The Pastrami Dog was successfully tested for three months in the Southern California market prior to being launched chainwide. The Pastrami Dog roll-out will be supported with television and radio spots as well as in-store point-of-purchase including cling-ons and translites.
