Guru.com’s Double-Digit Growth Continues in Third Quarter 2004

Pittsburgh, PA – November 11, 2004 – Guru.com (www.guru.com), the world’s largest online marketplace for freelance talent, reported a double-digit increase in the amount of total revenues earned by Guru.com professionals in the third quarter of 2004. The company announced an increase of 69 percent over the third quarter in 2003, while sequential quarter-over-quarter growth for this metric increased by 18 percent.

“We are excited to achieve this growth in our transaction volume. Increased usage by our current member base contributed significantly to the increase in revenues earned by professionals on Guru.com,” stated Inder Guglani, Guru.com’s CEO and co-founder. “It is our plan to achieve higher volumes by executing on our product enhancement and new services ideas scheduled for introduction over the next twelve months.”

Also during the third quarter of 2004, Guru.com introduced a Project Deliverables tool, which facilitates online project management for all phases of a project. The Project Deliverables tool allows employers and professionals to share milestones and develop plans for awarded projects, giving both parties the ability to define and approve project expectations. With this addition, projects can be awarded, managed, invoiced and paid entirely on Guru.com.

Furthering its end-to-end project management, Guru.com also added a web-based version of e-check this quarter. In addition to the various payment options previously available, employers can now pay invoices directly from their bank account via Guru.com.
