“A rich blend of psychological, philosophical, political, and spiritual wisdom that will open one’s eyes to Native American culture.”

A heartwarming story of finding and expanding spiritual awareness in the Native American lands of the Chippewa and Ojibwa Indians, Ray Drake shares his memoirs in his new book Dancing for the Fat LadyDancing for Life, Peace, and Sanity: The Ojibwa Sundance and Other Ceremonies.

Discovering the faith of the Ojibwa Indians inspired Ray Drake and led him to sun dance in Canada, where he fasted and prayed for four days. Learning about the spiritual growth that happens when one dances in a sacred harbor filled with kind souls and the Creator’s unconditional love, he gives readers a taste of what it was like to answer the call to sun dance.

A review from Kirkus cites the books as, “A rich blend of psychological, philosophical, political, and spiritual wisdom that will open one’s eyes to Native American culture.”

This book was displayed in LitFire’s booth during the 2016 Frankfurt International Book Fair (FIBF) in Frankfurt, Germany.  FIBF is one of the largest book event of the year, which was held last October 19 to 23, 2016.
