What’s next after high school? This question causes confusion for parents who want the best for their teenagers, but who don’t have the personal experience to know exactly what to do to help them. Navigating the many college options available in the U.S. and abroad can be a complex maze, but it doesn’t have to be—if you have the right road map.

What’s next after high school? This question causes confusion for parents who want the best for their teenagers, but who don’t have the personal experience to know exactly what to do to help them. Navigating the many college options available in the U.S. and abroad can be a complex maze, but it doesn’t have to be—if you have the right road map.

Regina H. Paul and Marie G. Segares came up with “How To Find the Right College: A Workbook for Parents of High School Students” to guide parents and their teenagers through the complicated world of researching and applying to colleges. It identifies the “deal breakers” that all parents and teenagers have, but sometimes won’t discuss. The workbook weighs the pros and cons of public and private colleges and universities, two- and four-year colleges, liberal arts and specialized colleges, single-sex colleges, faith-based colleges, historically black colleges and universities, study abroad options, and more. It makes it easier for parents and teenagers to narrow down the choices until they find the right one—or, more likely, several right ones.
