About the Author

Christel Bresko was born and raised in Germany, during the time of Hitler. Her father served the German Army until 1945, and her mother took care of her and the rest of her siblings while he was away.

When the war subsided, Bresko went to England in 1957 to study the English language. A year later, she studied nursing. She attained her degree in 1962. She traveled the world shortly after, and then moved to the USA in 1968.
