True Story of a Captivity-Born Wolf Teaches about Wildlife Preservation
Elizabeth Stanley chronicles the life of a wolf that serves as the ambassador for her species.
The Legend of Rami the Wolf explores the lives of the wolves, the cousins of man’s best friend, dogs. Filled with vibrant illustrations, the book makes for an entertaining educational tool to learn about Canis lupus and its importance in keeping the balance of the ecosystem.
Rami is a captive-born gray wolf living in a sanctuary with forty other rescued wolves, all cared for by humans. Being imprinted by humans, she will not survive if released to the wild. Her exceptional ability to overcome her innate shyness of humans and accept being in human company made her an excellent candidate to be a wolf ambassador. The Legend of Rami the Wolf by Elizabeth U. Stanley relives Rami’s adventures as a special wolf who, with her human companions, teaches others about wolves and wildlife preservation.
