Lucky the Cat Surprises at the 2016 Beijing International Book Fair

Featured at the 2016 Beijing International Book Fair was Margee Minter’s delightful debut children’s book, Ollie’s Unlucky Day.

The charming story between Lucky the Cat and Ollie the Dog will melt the hearts of every reader while imparting a wonderful message about friendship. In the book, both pets enjoy spending time together. But on Ollie’s fifth birthday, his mom throws him a surprise party and invites all his doggie friends but excludes Lucky. Wanting to join his friend’s party, Lucky sneaks in, and what happens next surprises everyone, especially the birthday boy!

Inspired by her profession as a teacher, Margee Minter wrote this book to continue sharing stories to children and hopes to reach all the children in the world.

About the Author

Margee Minter taught elementary school for thirty-four years until she retired. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Oklahoma and an MD from Oklahoma State University. She’s been married to Robert Minter for over sixty-one years, and they live happily with a Labrador retriever, two cats, and a herd of Angus cattle in Minter Ranch near Wynnewood, Oklahoma.
