Intersection Names Dafna Sarnoff Chief Marketing Officer
Company’s first Chief Marketing Officer will help drive expansion of integrated technology and media solutions globally
Intersection, a technology and media company, today announced that Dafna Sarnoff has joined the company as its first Chief Marketing Officer. Sarnoff will lead global marketing and communications efforts as it expands its technology and media solutions to cities, transit authorities, retail, airports, and mixed-use real estate developments around the world.
In her new role, Sarnoff will oversee corporate and product branding, drive advertiser and user engagement of the LinkNYC network, and create integrated marketing and communications strategies designed to raise Intersection’s profile globally. Sarnoff will report to President and CEO Al Kelly.
“Dafna’s breadth of experience across brand strategy, quantitative customer acquisition, and marketing operations makes her the right choice to lead Intersection’s marketing efforts,” said Al Kelly, CEO of Intersection. “Her results-driven approach will be a vital asset in helping us deepen customer relationships, expand our offerings, and build our brand.”
Before joining Intersection, Sarnoff served as Senior Vice President of Marketing of Yodle, Inc., a company providing digital marketing solutions to more than 55,000 small businesses clients, and then as Senior Vice President of Marketing for Web.com, which acquired Yodle in March of 2016. At Yodle, Sarnoff built a data-driven approach to identifying marketing insights and solutions for clients, producing repeated marketing performance improvements and driving revenue growth. Prior to joining Yodle, Sarnoff was Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at global information services company Wolters Kluwer, where she led brand strategy for their Corporate Legal Services group. During a decade at American Express, Sarnoff held several senior marketing roles, managing customer acquisition, loyalty programs, and product management initiatives. Sarnoff holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Mathematics from Dartmouth College.
“Intersection is leading a transformation across multiple industries by bridging the gap between physical and digital experiences across the customer journey,” said Sarnoff. “The new level of capabilities and sophistication our products are delivering is improving the lives of people in cities and communities, and represents an untapped opportunity for brands and businesses. I’m looking forward to helping them realize those benefits, and I’m thrilled about the opportunities ahead of us.”
