Hundreds of Government Workers Moved after Mold Problems Discovered

In May, WDRB broadcasted a report about city workers from Louisville, Kentucky being moved to a new office building. The move involves approximately 300 people who have worked in a government building that has reportedly suffered from mold issues for four years. Employees have reported musty odors, respiratory issues and not feeling well after spending time in the building.  

Elevated levels of mold in an indoor environment can cause a wide range of health concerns. Molds produce irritants, allergens and exposure can also trigger an asthma attack in some people with the condition. As an irritant, mold can irritate the eyes, skin, nose, throat and lungs.
