ABOUT MINESKI

Mineski Corporation is a professional esports organization based in the Philippines, composed of Mineski Infinity Cyber Cafe Network, Mineski Professional Gaming Team,  Mineski-Events Team, MineskiTV, and Mineski.net.

Founded in 2004, Mineski started out as a mere competitive gaming squad based in Taft, Manila, when Ronald “Rhom” Robins banded together with some of his closest friends in order to form Mineski-Dota, one of the first few professional esports teams in the Philippines.

In 2008,  they established Mineski Grounds, a cyber cafe along Taft Avenue which quickly became a hotspot for local gamers in Manila and the surrounding areas. A year later, Mineski Infinity, Mineski’s first franchise was established, just a few blocks from Mineski Grounds. In 2010, Mineski started to expand throughout the whole Philippines, with some of its first few branches being located in Cebu, Cagayan De Oro, and Las Pinas. Around this time, the Mineski Portal franchise, a smaller subset of the Mineski Infinity branding, was also born, with its first branch located in Cubao.
By 2013, Mineski had begun its international launch, by opening its first Mineski Infinity branch overseas, in Taynton, Malaysia. As of May 26, 2015, there are 40 Mineski Cyber Cafes in the Philippines, and another 5 in Malaysia.

Mineski Gear was established in 2010 as Mineski Infinity’s official merchandising partner, known to sell clothing laden with MIneski branding. By 2013 it had expanded into becoming the Secret Shop Philippines, expanding its catalog to include gaming gear, peripherals, and even electronic load.

As Mineski-Dota grew professionally, it gave birth to more departments which would allow for the organization to cover and specialize in more areas, such as the Mineski-Events team (MET), the pioneering esports agency in the Philippines. MET started organizing small local tournaments for various games such as WC3 DotA and Call of Duty. It was in 2010 when it organized the very Mineski Pro-Gaming League. By 2015 it had grown to become on the biggest esports esports event organizers in South-East Asia, having organized over 1,000 events, with some of its hallmarks being the Pinoy Gaming Festival, the National Cyber Collegiate League, and the Mineski Pro-Gaming League South-East Asia Grand Finals.

MineskiTV and Mineski.net were established and developed in order to help spread the Mineski brand. MineskiTV started as the organization’s official broadcasting channel, which provided online stream for viewers who wanted to attend the MET’s events but could not go, but is now recognized as the premiere esports broadcasting network in the Philippines, as it continues to partner up with foreign organizations to provide Filipino coverage for international premier tournaments. In 2013 it was selected by YouTube as one of the biggest independent channels in the Philippines.

By 2014, Mineski had started partnering up with ESL to further bring better esports services to Southeast Asia, with the recent ESL One Manila being the partnership’s crown jewel thus far.
