Poetry for the Mind, the Heart, and the Soul

In 2013, author Mihaela S. Hegstrom published a book of poems, which she titled The Mysteries of My Soul: A Collection of Poems. The literary piece reflects the sensitivity of her heart, the keenness of her mind, and the compassion in her spirit. She aims to uplift her readers’ spirits through the words she has written.

Through the book, Hegstrom has inspired many of her readers. “Wonderful work and I am delighted that she remains so motivated to reflect on God’s goodness in her life and share those thoughts with others!” says John R. Brunsting, senior mathematics consultant of Silver Strong & Associates.

About the Author

Mihaela S. Hegstrom was born in Bucharest, Romania. She studied at the Technical University of Civil Engineering—Department of Mechanical Engineering in Bucharest and earned a degree in mechanical engineering, as well as a teaching certificate. In 1979, she moved to the United States, along with her family, where she married Robert Hegstrom. She and Robert live in a suburb of Chicago and have two grown children. Mihaela works as a high school substitute teacher. She is also the author of Praises in the Storm. She wrote both it and the current volume first in the Romanian language, with those versions being published in Romania.
