About the Author

Horacio Hernández was born in Sabana de la Mar, Dominican Republic. He received his master’s and doctor’s degrees in Spanish and Latin American literature from the State University of New York. Before moving to the United States, he worked as a Spanish-language instructor and technical coordinator in the Peace Corps. He taught in several schools for a number of years.
