Following the rediscovery of the original journal of Christopher Columbus is the elevation of a cruel dictator, his overly elaborate wedding, and the struggle of a hero against his dictatorship. In the end, the great tsunami brings destruction to everything.

About the Author

Born in the Dominican Republic, Horacio A. Hernández holds an MA and a PhD in Spanish and Latin American literature from the State University of New York. He earned a licenciatura in modern languages from the Universidad Autonóma de Santo Domingo. Before coming to the USA, he became a Spanish-language trainer and technical coordinator in the Peace Corps. He also taught at Northfield Mount Hermon School and Houghton College. Presently, he teaches Spanish language and literature in Montreat College.
