German Author Relates a Story about Fruits and Vegetables from the Garden of Eden

World War II survivor Bresko pens a positive message about facing life’s challenges and coping with change in her new children’s book, Dreamland: Fruits and Vegetables.  

After eating a fruit from the forbidden tree, Adam and Eve are banished from the Garden of Eden, leaving behind the numerous plants to fend for themselves. Bresko shares how the many plants are affected by the mistake committed by the first man and woman. Throughout the book, she describes how the different fruits and vegetables from the Garden of Eden deal with the challenges and cope with the changes that come their way.

Through meaningful stories and animated illustrations, Dreamland: Fruits and Vegetables helps young readers learn to face challenges and accept changes no matter how big or small.

Dreamland: Fruits and Vegetables will be featured in the 2016 London Book Fair from April 12 to 14 at Olympia, West London, England.

About the Author

Christel Decker Bresko grew up in Gemany during WWII, but she and her family remained neutral. After the war, she left to travel around Europe. She gained her RN certificate before setting out to America, where she eventually settled along with her husband, Bill. Now retired, she enjoys traveling, walking, swimming, reading, and writing in her leisure time.
