Divinity Unmasked tries to provide answers to people’s inability to plan strategically for God’s original purpose for humankind. The author points out to the prevailing racial segregation in America’s leading cultural and sociopolitical institution—religion. He claims that Americans are divided under God, with the existence of various religious denominations, such as Catholics, Baptists, Episcopalians, Jews, United Methodists, Muslims, and other denominational groups worshiping God within their limited and masked premises of the identity of God.

Thus, Warner urges readers to unmask their personal beliefs and suppositions of divinity and go beyond the comfort zones of worship. He stresses the importance of reaching out to the real world, particularly those who are discriminated against, the homeless and marginalized, prostitutes, drug dealers, and all those in need. After all, they are all created in God’s image.

Donald D. Warner graduated from Temple University, Princeton Theological Seminary, and Pennsylvania State University. He is an author, poet, educator, and ordained minister. He is a former state school monitor, chief school administrator, and board chairman of Brookdale Community College, Lincroft, New Jersey.
