“The Unspoken” by Terrie C. Curry is a book for those dealing with loss, grief and coping with death. Everyone at some point in their lives will deal with loss, and “The Unspoken: A Story of Love, Loss and a World Beyond Words” helps one to face that journey.  When loss occurs, often an individual thinks about their own mortality and the question is raised “Who am I?”.  We question loss as part of dealing with grief, and Terrie C. Curry explains there are ways to work through these feelings.

Curry explains that the book was written to assist people facing transitions in life which make them question who they really are. Events in the story inspire them to change their lives as they move through thoughts they struggle with after a loss. Curry volunteered with hospice patients and went through a loss of her own when her beloved husband passed. She had an encounter with a 7-year old boy diagnosed with autism who used nonverbal communication with her to convey a realm she terms “the unspoken”.  

Terrie C. Curry will have two remaining book signing events with a portion of the proceeds benefiting different charities. Friday April 29, 2016 she will be in St. Paul Minnesota - a portion of proceeds will benefit Awesomism Education Foundation. On Wednesday May 4, 2016 she will be in Wichita, Kansas at Watermark Books & Cafe - a portion of proceeds will be donated to Trees for Life.

Terrie C. Curry lives in Denver, Colorado after living and working in Chicago for twenty years.  She has an MBA in finance where she dealt with financial and legal matters. That work exposed her to the Cook County Court system.  She is a storyteller, and has shared her experiences in this book.  She participates in the “Awesomism” movement writing stories with parents of children diagnosed on the autism spectrum.
