Mortsel, Belgium, September 13, 2006, Agfa Graphics announced today that it has closed a deal with leading UK printer St Ives. St Ives has placed a software order of strategic importance for Agfa Graphics’ :Delano system. The new software will streamline and enhance print project management.

:Delano will connect St Ives’four web division sites in Plymouth, Andover, Peterborough and Roche, including on-screen and remote page approval from remote locations as well as overall customer service. Agfa Graphics’ integrated software solutions will help St Ives gain a competitive edge with increased efficiency for prepress production, with enterprise-wide project management as well as tools to enhance customer interaction and service.

St Ives’ expertise is in producing consumer and business magazines, mail-order and business catalogues and brochures as well as leaflet inserts. Run lengths range from 1,000 copies printed sheetfed to over a million printed heatset web-offset.

Having used Agfa Graphics’ :Apogee prepress production workflow software for seven years, St Ives has recently upgraded to the latest, JDF based version :ApogeeX. Their experience with Agfa Graphics software put the company on the shortlist of preferred partners.

“We are delighted with :ApogeeX and can’t praise it enough. So when we decided to look at all the options for further automation, JDF integration and customer interaction, Agfa’s :Delano just had to be on our shortlist,” said Keith Gregory, Divisional IT Director, St Ives Web. “:Delano provides unparalleled front and back-end support. It enhances our customer service. Plus, :Delano’s StreamProof module will let our customers review, amend and OK colour proofs conveniently from their web browser.”

“:Delano has been gaining more and more customers and this is another major contract for Agfa Graphics. We’ve worked extremely hard to develop :Delano and provide customers with the enterprise solutions they need. This is a key endorsement of our efforts,” said Laurence Roberts, managing director, Agfa UK.
