Denver, Colo. – WEBWIRE

“SSA summer camps are fun and relaxing, while still offering kids the opportunity to retain and expand their school education,” said Kelly Scarborough, SSA co-founder. “Thousands of kids want to the opportunity to explore their passion for technology – an oft-overlooked summer activity. We are excited to bring these new classes to Denver’s families because we know the tech-oriented kids out there will love these opportunities.”

Silicon STEM Academy (SSA), a brand new enrichment program in Denver designed to teach kids aged 8-17 computer programming, robotics, digital media and other technology skills, will offers dozens of full-day summer camps this year. The SSA camps are an engaging, hands-on ways for kids to bolster their STEM skills during the summer break and explore new concepts.

Many kids experience learning loss during the summer months, including setbacks in reading levels and mathematical and computational skills. Experts conclude that engaging kids in educational activities during the summer months can combat this typical brain drain.
