As evidenced by these two new colonoscopes, our ongoing goal at Fujifilm is to provide practitioners with state-of-the-art, high-quality medical imaging tools they can depend on,” said Keiichi Nagata, President, Endoscopy Division of FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc.

The Endoscopy Division of FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. today announced two colonoscope product additions as updates to its 600 Series product line. The EC-600HL Standard Video Colonoscope and the EC-600LS Slim Video Colonoscope are designed for enhanced visualization of the lower digestive tract, specifically for the observation, diagnosis and endoscopic treatment of the rectum and large intestine.

“As evidenced by these two new colonoscopes, our ongoing goal at Fujifilm is to provide practitioners with state-of-the-art, high-quality medical imaging tools they can depend on,” said Keiichi Nagata, President, Endoscopy Division of FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc.

Fujifilm’s EC-600HL and EC-600LS colonoscopes are equipped with the latest megapixel CMOS image sensor technology which enables exceptional high-resolution imaging with 60 fps video and clear, high definition still images. The technology delivers images with sharp and accurate color representation, stable illumination and excellent brightness. A 170˚ field of view enhances visualization and aclose focus lens system boosts observation capability up to 2mm with less peripheral distortion.

While maintaining a slim insertion portion diameter of only 12.8mm and 11.5mm, the EC-600HL and EC-600LS colonoscopes
feature a large forceps channel diameter of 4.2mm and 3.8mm, respectively, enhancing endoscopic examination with effective suction performance.  Both colonoscopes feature a forward water jet function, a lightweight and user-friendly design, and are compatible with Fujifilm’s EPX-4440HD digital video processor.

“With Fujifilm’s innovative CMOS technology, the image sensor can convert the analog signal at the end of the scope to a digital signal which is less affected by outside noise. The results are brilliant images which make advanced observation and diagnosis possible,” said Kaz Maenosono, Senior Director of Marketing, Endoscopy Division of FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc.
