Génération Déterminée Movement Launches Official Website for its President Bernard Katompa

The Génération Déterminée Movement proudly announces today the launch of the official website of its President, Bernard Katompa.

Citizens at home in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and located throughout the international diaspora have, perhaps since Independence, expressed regular disillusionment with the nation’s socioeconomic trajectory. Importantly, this includes the longstanding issue in their ability to offer warranted criticism and analysis to those with the capability and authority to create reform.

The official website (http://BernardKatompa.com) looks to create and foster dialogue - not merely a one-dimensional monologue but a truly interactive forum for ideas, voices of support and concerns, to be aired and shared by those with a stake in the DRC Opportunity and those encountering the region and all that it has to offer for the first time.

Currently we are witnessing the creation of new provinces which will forever alter our political landscape. We look on as calls for delays to our electoral process generate greater controversy and stifle our progress. Yet we remain standing at the precipice of democratic transition that will reshape the country. And we, at the Génération Déterminée Movement, envision a society empowered and eager to together capitalise on hope achieved for a brighter tomorrow and, with our friends in the international community, create a Republic that can serve as a moral and economic beacon; a symbol that the DRC is ready to take its rightful place on the African and the international stage as the power player we have long known it to be, but have yet to convey.
