Alaskan author Ray Hoy has accepted a film rights option offer from Someday Productions LLC. The East Coast-based production company’s offer encompasses Hoy’s critically-acclaimed Jack Frost thriller series, and three additional screenplay adaptations: “The World at Belly Button Level” (Family Series), “Maggie’s Way” (Romantic Casino Thriller based on the book by Jessie Fallon) and “The Black Rock Hotel” (Horror based on a treatment by The Sandman).

Ray Hoy has been a professional writer for over five decades. Somewhere in his long media career he also spent nearly 20 years as a casino marketing consultant for some of Nevada’s top gaming properties. His real-life experiences in the “Casino Wars” provide him with a wealth of authentic material for his Jack Frost thriller series, based on the life and times of Jack Frost, an ex-military “lonesome loner” who calls Lake Tahoe home. Frost is blessed with a warrior’s mentality and cursed with a conscience and fierce loyalty to friends. On the other hand, J.T. Ripper, his enormous Scotch-drinking Doberman sidekick, pretty much hates everyone and everything—but he is a warrior, too.

In the time-honored “Write what you know” manner, Hoy set the first three books in his Frost series—“The Vegas Factor,” “A Proper Time to Die,” and “Nightmare in Neon”—against the casino scene in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe and Reno. The series is available in eBook and paperback, and a downloadable MP3 audio edition is scheduled for November 2015 release.
